IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Infrastructure Operations Professional to join our IT Operations team. This role focuses on managing and maintaining the core infrastructure and core IT services, ensuring system reliability, performance, and scalability. You will play a critical part in supporting our datacenter operations and network environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking equipment.
- Support datacenter environment, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Implement and manage virtualization platforms based on VMware and Kubernetes/KubeVirt.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support deployment, integration, and migration projects.
- Ensure infrastructure security by following best practices and implementing necessary controls.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and asset management to ensure a structured and efficient approach to IT operations.
- Create and maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and incident reports.
- Automate repetitive tasks using automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure operations, including advanced administration of Windows and Linux based environments.
- Strong understanding of virtualization and containerization technologies (VMware, Kubernetes, or KubeVirt).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills in an international context.
- IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, RHCE, CKAD) are a plus.
